The Royal Oak Ripon Bed & Breakfast

A double room with a nice view of the cathedral, I had requested this in advance.

Enjoyable location in the square, welcoming staff, everything was great. Location: the hotel was not far from Ripon, independent quirky shops, the centre. I appreciated the particularly nice view. All the facilities were good....  

Nice Stay with Warm Hospitality

My spacious room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The meals were delicious, particularly the breakfast, a highlight of my stay.

Decent option for a transient visit in Ripon, good value for the price. The meal was good, especially the steak. Watch out for the local events that might make parking tricky.

The renowned grilled cheese was a standout, alongside the inviting atmosphere in the pub. Room noise from traffic was a constant disturbance, diminishing sleep quality. An unwelcoming arrival and disinterested service from staff added to the frustration, while cleanliness issues in the bathroom further detracted from the experience.

The stay had its highlights, particularly the comfortable bed and the overall cleanliness of the room. The noise from the bar was disruptive at night, and the communication from staff could be improved as there were some misunderstandings regarding services. It's a good choice for a short, affordable getaway if noise isn't a concern.

The menu for breakfast was a standout, with delicious options that was really good beyond typical pub fare. My family loved the breakfast and the warm, cute environment.

My kids wished there had been more activities for them to enjoy in the area.

We got a very pleasant welcome from the staff and both the evening food n breakfast were really nice. The bed was super comfy, slept like a baby! Location was great too, just around the corner from...  

Had a lovely stopover in ripon and the royal exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was warm. Enjoyed the delicious dinner, especially the locally sourced ingredients.

The food was very nice, especially the freshly baked croissants and hearty full english breakfast. The staff were attentive.

The Royal Oak offers a charming atmosphere and a great location near the center of Ripon, with a comfortable bed and delicious breakfast choices. Accessing the parking lot was a little tight, and we encountered issues with the free Wi-Fi. A pleasant experience.

We explored nearby historical sites and enjoyed the friendly staff. The breakfast was great with plenty of choices. The restaurant served delicious meals, and they were accommodating with food allergies. Parking is convenient, and the location is central....  

This was a well-suited match for a short break in Ripon with high value for money. The service was excellent , and the meals were deliciously prepared, especially dinner. Look for a room away from loud areas for a quieter night's sleep.

And I loved the quick access to the lovely Ripon Canal just 500 meters away and the good dining options just a few steps from my room. Perfect for a single traveler who enjoys leisurely city explorations and vibrant local eateries.
